the joys of being a second year

i've now been back at uni for about 3 weeks. This week the work has really started! freshers week was good although I managed to miss all the freshers week stuff I was supposed to be helping with by coming home to work. Last week all by one of my lecturers decided to cancel our lectures, so this week has begun by the giving of deadlines, and introduction talks about field trips and dissertation topics.
my first geography related decision was where to go on my field trip, Kenya or Ireland both trips sounded really exciting and interesting, we've been told to go somewhere that will help with our dissertations. Unfortunately I (like many others) don't know what do do for my dissertation!) so the final choice came down to where my friends were going... I'm now going to Ireland to look at rivers, coasts, peat bogs, mountains and glacial deposits, with my friends!!!!
I'm singing in trial by jury in 3 weeks time - as yet I haven't been to a rehearsal! Then next term as well as hopefully singing in the gondoliers, I'm in charge of costumes - so any ideas for Victorian dress based around 1889 the ideas would be welcomed, as would help with making the stuff!!!!!
Lastly today we've had a lecture on practical techniques, which finished up with... you need to start thinking about you dissertation topic. we've even been given the final deadline, some time in Feb 2007!!! we are supposed to have decided by the end of this term, and I have absolutely no ideas!!!! Any one got anything they want researched?
