crawling through the gorse...

One Wednesday afternoon in December I found my self (with a friend) on a trip across Greenham common looking for 6 boys launching rockets.
Easy I hear you say...
well no!!!!
we set off at 1400 hrs from home expecting to arrive at the common, park and then watch for them to arrive without them seeing us. At 1430 hrs having walked around, scrambled through ditches and set in the freezing cold, we ring, talking in code, so they don't know where we are. At 1445 hrs we start to walk along the common (this very large expace of open space was a WW2 airbase) looking in the sky for rockets. None are to be seen. at about 1500 hrs we ring again, the phone is off, try someone else to ask where they are. at 1515 hrs (having walked for 30min) we spy a rocket in the distance. At 1530 hrs we arrive near enough to hear them and hide behind a rather large, prickly bush. at 1545 hrs a rocket is fired in our direction. At this point we deside moving into the open is the best plan and the hunt is over.

a small rant...

I don't like the victorians... due to them, the show I'm in in feb is set in the 1890s, meaning all the costumes and props have to be victorian style... therefore, I have to make and design loads of victorian stuff and its really difficult and fussy!!!!

on a happier note I'm going to the panto this evening - the wizard of oz - should be fun!!!!!!
