Iceland...
I've now been back form Iceland for a week and have been prompted by a friend to blog about it so hear goes!!!
Iceland is amazing (being a geography student makes it even more so!)
We arrived at about 1 in the morning (thats 2 UK time - cos they don't have BST) while waiting in the airport car part to pack the car we say the northern lights. These are long sweeping colours that move very slowly across the sky. It more more exciting coe we wern't expecting to see them as it was only august and usually to see them you need to go in Nov/Dec.
Our summerhouse (about an hour form the airport) was down a lane closed of by a gate and surrouned by knomes - hundereds of them everwhere.
We saw geysers, waterfalls, volcanic craters, stood on the Atlantic plate (Iceland is situated on the Eurasian/Atlantic plate boundary - which is moving appart thus creating new land!)
